Investment 2014: to exceed 4 % of yield | We need to be serving government bonds to 15 years
The beginning of the year is always a good opportunity to take stock of their financial situation , having at hand the results of the past year and many predictions for the trends to be expected in the next 12 months.
Investments in the stock market have given great satisfaction in 2012: the average return of the index FTSE MIB was in fact 13%. It will repeat this exploit also for 2014 ? Not necessarily – it all depends on the actual economic recovery of our country, which for now is only barely visible glimmer . The deposit accounts online have always been a great tool in the past: in front of a practically zero cost providing good returns – but in recent months it has fallen to an average of 2 % net. If the returns are higher, so is the risk due to the low rating of the bank.
In the field of government bonds, the Bot now are really stingy , that is a different matter for the long-term BTPs , which will be for instance 15 years . A really long time , rewarded with higher rates. In fact, in the auction held in October we were offered a yield of 4.6% ( the ten-year stopped at 4.3 %).
In the field of fixed income course there are also corporate bonds, which usually offer higher interest rates in the face of increased risk and lower liquidity.
